Acupuncture
My acupuncture training primarily stems from two different styles:
1) Balance method - Developed my Dr. Richard Tehfu Tan, this style of acupuncture uses the relationships of the meridians to treat ailments, often, with immediate results. I utilize this method primarily for pain and injury recovery.
2) Engaging Vitality - Developed by Dan Bensky DO, L.Ac, Chip Chace L.Ac and Marguerite Dinkins MAcOM, L.Ac, this comprehensive system of acupuncture is grounded in the therapeutic engagement with qi. It relies on careful ‘listening’ techniques not only with the ears but the hands. This method utilizes gentle hands on techniques to acquire depths of information about the body through direct qi palpation. This allows for accuracy and precision when it comes to inserting needles into the body - well suited for patients that are sensitive to needle stimulation and prefer gentle therapies. Sasang Constitutional Nutrition
Sasang Constitutional Medicine is a Korean healing system. Developed by philosopher and doctor, Lee Jae-Ma, it utilizes the frame work of body constitutions to more accurately prescribe treatment (acupuncture, herbal and nutrition) to patients.
I focus on the nutritional application of this system. My life long dietary sensitivities led me to experiment heavily with many ways of using food for medicinal purposes. My own profound results with the Sasang system inspired me to do a deep and continuous dive into its study. The outcomes that I have seen with patients are what keep me thoroughly engaged and forever learning. While I was in school I did my doctoral capstone research on this topic and developed a close mentor-mentee relationship with Tracy Stewart L.Ac. I am a part of an ongoing, weekly group that analyzes patient cases to the benefit of the patient and our understanding as practitioners.
Sasang Nutrition works well for people who are sensitive to foods and are ready to truly use food as medicine in order to see a profound shift in their health. Supporting your constitution has the ability to help resolve any ailment and bring you into a state of thriving health over time.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
While in school at NUNM, I did a two year monthly series through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine (ICEAM) that helped me to dive more deeply into the Shang Han Lun and the Jingui Yaolue (prominent herbal medical classics in the field of East-Asian medicine).
I continued learning from skilled teachers such as Dr. Joon Hee Lee DAOM, L.Ac and Dr. Heiner Fruehauf Ph.D, L.Ac. After finishing my schooling I did a residency at The Healing Order with Dr. Fruehauf and Dr. Chris Metro ND, L.Ac. My time there was invaluable and gave me a solid foundation for using classical Chinese herbalism to treat a wide variety of ailments from acute illness to chronic viral infection to cancer support and more.
Today, I continue to enhance my understanding of this medicine through ongoing study with a number of mentors.
